Simon grew up in Berkeley, California, and discovered a love for art and acting at a young age. He trained as an actor in New York, and received his MFA from The New School for Drama.

In addition to acting, Simon is a published author and illustrator. His book Are You Dissing Me? What Animals Really Think explores the depths of human neurosis, charmingly voiced by adorable critters in the animal kingdom.
